Pre-orders go out before anything else the week the print run lands, and you get an email with the date before it moves.
What shipping costs.
We don't make up a shipping number and pocket the difference. Your rate comes straight from the carrier at checkout, based on where you are and what is actually in your bag. Digital only orders never have a shipping charge at all.

You get a second email with a tracking number the moment the carrier has it.

Open it, sit with it, and tell us how it landed. We read every reply.
You are reserving yours.
A pre-order means the print run hasn't landed in Ottawa yet and you are holding your copy from it. Your card is charged when you order, because that is what funds the run. Nothing is hidden in that.
As soon as the shipment reaches us we email every pre-order customer with the shipping date before a single box moves, and pre-orders are packed and sent before anything else. If you order a pre-order item together with something in stock, we hold the whole order and ship it together. Email us if you would rather have the in stock part now and we will split it.
You can cancel a pre-order for a full refund any time before it ships. Just email us with your order number.
Returns, plainly said.
We would rather fix it than argue about it. Here is where we stand.
Can I return a digital download?
No, and here is the honest reason: once the file is in your hands it cannot be given back. Digital products are final sale. But if the link will not open, the file will not download, or you bought the wrong one by mistake, email us within 30 days and we will sort it out. That is not a loophole, that is just how we want to treat you.
Can I return a physical product?
Yes. You have 14 days from the day it arrives to ask. The item needs to be unused, in the condition it reached you, and in its original packaging. Email us with your order number and a photo and we will send return instructions. Please wait to hear from us before sending anything back.
Who pays return shipping?
You do, unless the item arrived damaged or we sent the wrong thing. In those cases we cover it.
It arrived damaged. Now what?
Email us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We replace it or refund you in full, and we cover the shipping. You usually will not need to send the damaged one back.
When do I get my money back?
Once the return reaches us and passes a quick check, the refund goes to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. Your bank may add a few days on their end.
Tracking says delivered but it is not here.
Check with your neighbours and your building first, since carriers sometimes leave packages next door. If it is still missing, email us with your order number and we will open a trace with the carrier and take care of you.
I typed my address wrong.
Email us straight away and we will fix it if it has not shipped. If a package comes back to us because the address was wrong or nobody was there, we will happily resend once you cover the reshipping cost.
Do you ship anywhere else?
Canada and the United States for now. If you are somewhere else and you want something of ours, email us and we will figure out what it would cost to get it to you.
